Radiation on surface pyrosim simulator#
Attendees will be led through advanced techniques in using the Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) modeling, PyroSim and Smokeview visualization software. This virtual seminar is derived from the SFPE 4-day Advanced FDS and Smokeview program. Once you complete all of the course content, survey, and quiz, you will be provided your PDH certificate. If you are unable to watch the live session you will be able to go back and watch the recorded sessions up to 1 month after last session.

Radiation on surface pyrosim series#
The results of these tests are time dependent data series of the energy release rate (ERR) per unit area. The tests at 25 kW/m 2 and 50 kW/m 2 were mostly repeated three times, 75 kW/m 2 was performed just once. Whereas at height 2 m, the measured heat flux was around 4-6 kw/m2. Up to three different, constant radiative heat fluxes were imposed on the samples: 25 kW/m 2, 50 kW/m 2, and 75 kW/m 2.

At height 1 m, the measured Heat flux was between 10 and 16 kw/m2 in general during that period of time.

The problem that I'm having is that during the experiment, from around 2 min ( where the HRR got almost into the steady plato) untill 15 min, the heat flux measured at 1 m distance from the center of the pool. I'm running pool fire with Karosene as a main fuel. I would really be thankful if you can help me with this issue.
